in cui l'autrice riprende le fila della storia di Jane Eyre, concentrandosi sull'ipotetica figlia che l'eroina inventata da Charlotte Brontë avrebbe avuto dal matrimonio con Edward Rochester.
Un romanzo d'amore non sdolcinato, né passionale – chi mi segue sa infatti che io non leggo tali romanzi “d'amore”!! – con momenti di suspense e una splendida ricostruzione degli usi e degli ambenti dell'epoca e un finale straordinario! |
“Jane Eyre's Daughter” by Elizabeth Newark
in which the author picks up the thread of Jane Eyre's story, concentrating on a hypothetical daughter that the heroine created by Charlotte Brontë should have had from the wedding with Edward Rochester. A love story that is nor mushy, neither passionate – who follows my blog already knows that I don't read such romances!! – with moments of suspense and a wonderful reconstruction of costumes and traditions of that period and an extraordinary end!
