Pare che abbiano un sensore e sappiano prima della sottoscritta quando varcherò la soglia del loro negozio per riesumate a prezzi stracciati perle della letteratura (in senso ampio, non solo quella colta). Ed eccomi all'uscita del negozio carica di piccoli tomi per una spesa di cinquanta euro (ok forse anche ben oltre i cinquanta...); d'altra parte ognuna di queste perle costava meno di tre euro, o poco di più, e quando ricapita un'occasione così? Alcuni li avevo persino tenuti d'occhio e un prezzo tanto basso è impossibile strapparlo, nemmeno su internet! Sono bookaholic! Compro senza aver letto le recensioni, se non anche evitando accuratamente quelle dei “critici esperti”. Libri fra i generi più vari, recenti o di qualche anno fa, tendente al secolo scorso. L'importante è il racconto e dove ti “porta”. Questo fine settimana per esempio sono stata a Firenze, nella Firenze di fine '400 quella di Lorenzo il Magnifico! Con una spesa di appena sei euro scarsi! Un vero godimento! Il romanzo di cui parlo è: “L'enigma della Gioconda” di Jeanne Kalogridis Qualche “svarione” storico c'è, ma l'atmosfera e gli accadimenti generali della Firenze dell'epoca sono resi bene e spingono a ulteriori approfondimenti. Assolutamente consigliato!

booksellers do it on purpose: it appears they have a sensor and they exactly know, before me myself, when I will cross the threshold of their shop, in order to dig up, at very low prices, gems of the literature (and not only the “High” one). And here I am, going out from the shop with a pile of little volumes for the reasonable cost of fifty euros (ok, perhaps much over fifty...); on the other side any of these gems was cheap (less than three euros, or just a bit more), therefore I think “when can such an occasion happen again?” I even kept an eye on some of them and such a low price is impossible to find, even on internet! I am bookaholic! I buy without reading the reviews and carefully avoiding the “professional” ones. I buy  various genre kind of books and more or less new. The important is the story and where it will “lead” you. This week-end, for example, I was in Florence, the Florence of the end of 15th century, during Lorenzo the Magnificent! At the modest expenditure of around six euros! A true enjoyment! I am speaking about the romance: “Painting Mona Lisa” by Jeanne Kalogridis I must say there is some historical “blunder”, but the atmosphere in Florence and the general events of that age are well described and make you willing to further deepen the subject. Absolutely suggested!
