proprio libro e di recensire quello degli altri. Si ha un'ampia scelta: si ricevono mail dal gruppo – secondo le impostazioni scelte – in cui si hanno i libri di volta in volta disponibili per la recensione: buttando l'occhio alla descrizione e al genere si decide se partecipare o meno. Lo si fa quindi in base ai propri gusti. Io ho la tendenza a buttarmi sul mistery o sul thriller. Essendo libri in lingua inglese è per me un modo di allenarmi, ma sopratutto di leggere nuovi autori. Confesso che parto un po' prevenuta (in considerazione del fatto che ho letto non poche porcherie di "scriventi" italiani), ma ho sempre avuto belle sorprese. Una decina di giorni fa ho ricevuto da Goodreads il mio primo ebook da recensire :-) “Death in the Family” (Morte in famiglia) di J.E.Seymour Si tratta di una storia breve e ben condotta, che cattura sin dalle prime righe. Sono rimasta un po' perplessa alla fine, perché speravo in "maggiori dettagli"; ma ciò è proprio quello che permette di pensare al libro e ai suoi personaggi anche dopo averlo letto, cogliendo nuove sfaccettature nella complessa personalità dei protagonisti. Un libro che consiglio! Il prezzo è anche conveniente: pochi cent. Perciò: buona lettura!

There is a broad choice: one receives the newsletters – on the basis of the chosen settings – where one finds the books available for review: casting a glance to the description and the genre one can decide to be involved or not. In short: you do it according to your tastes. I have the tendency to throw myself into mistery and thriller. Considering these are English books, this is an occasion to improve my language skills and, above all, to read new authors. I must confess I am a bit prejudiced (thinking of the horrible written stories I read in Italian!), on the contrary I always had nice surprises. Around ten days ago I received from Goodreads my first ebook to reviewed :-) “Death in the Family” by J.E.Seymour Brief and well conducted story that catches the reader since the beginning. I was a bit perplexed at the end, because I hoped to have further details; but it is exactly this that permits you to think about the book and its characters after having read it, understanding the different facets of the complex personality of the protagonists. I definitively suggest this pleasure reading! The price is also convenient: few cents! So: good reading!
