30 GIORNI DI LIBRI - 30 DAY BOOK CHALLENGE

Giorno 18: Un libro il cui film ti ha deluso Anche oggi due domande diverse. Quella italiana è piuttosto semplice: sono sempre delusa dai film tratti da un libro, SE ho già letto il libro. Il motivo è semplice: mi sono già immaginata i protagonisti e il loro ambiente e - com'è prevedibile - questi generalmente non coincidono con quanto immaginato dal regista. Diverso è il caso in cui non abbia ancora letto il libro e mi capiti più tardi fra le mani, come per:

Day 18: Book you’re most embarrassed to say you like Two questions also today. The Italian one is almost simple: “a book whose film disappointed you”. I am always disappointed by film made out of a novel, IF I already read the book. This is because I already created images for the main characters and their environment, that – as one can forecast – does not generally fit the vision of the director. Another thing is if I didn't read the book yet and it will be on my hands, as for:

“L'amante” di Marguerite Duras Comunque in generale non amo mischiare i due generi. Riguardo la domanda inglese (“Un libro che ti imbarazza dire che ti è piaciuto”) la risposta è: i libri di Danielle Steel... Non che ne abbia letti molti, eh! Probabilmente perché sono romanzi d'amore e non mi va di passare per la tipa romanticona che leggi libri melensi tendenti all"Harmony" (quest'ultimi non li ho mai nemmeno guardati, sia chiaro!!) Da queste storie hanno anche tratto dei film (perciò ho unito le due domande). Molto bello (e istruttivo) fra i tanti: “La lunga strada verso casa” Un'ultima precisazione: a parte questo… non ne ho mai guardato nemmeno uno!

“The Lover” by Marguerite Duras Anyway I do not really like to “mix up” the two things. With regards to the English question, the answer is: Danielle Steel's books... But I didn't read many of them, eh! Probabily this is because they are love stories and I do not want to pass for an extremely romantic woman who read sappy books tending to "Harmony" (and, just to be clear: I never even look at the latest ones!!) From these novel they made many films (that's why I decided to match the two questions). Really beautiful (and instructive) among the others: “The Long Road Home” A last specification: a part from this… I never ever watch to any of them!
